2009 foi um grande ano. Tivemos mais de quarenta lançamentos, indo de pequenos projetos caseiros a bandas já conhecidas como Blanched e Labirinto. Músicas inéditas e relançamentos antigos. Material de estúdio e ao vivo. Dois Sinewave Festivals, diversos podcasts e mixtapes e minicasts e videos e novidades e etc-a-quatro.

Estivemos em suspensão durante as últimas semanas, preparando novidades para o site. Ainda levaremos mais algum tempo - fim de ano é o fim do mundo - mas logo no início do ano começam a pingar as novidades - um novo site, novos lançamentos, novas seções. Basta dizer que várias bandas do casting estão com estúdio agendado para o primeiro trimestre de 2010. O ruído é o caminho.

Em 2010 teremos mais festas, mais shows. Mais um Sinewave Festival, quem sabe festas menores e mais frequentes. Porque 2009 foi o ano que a cena começou a se consolidar. As agendas do fim do ano comprovam - II Sinewave Festival, Bazar Dissenso e Asteroid Stravaganza trouxeram 21 shows de 15 bandas diferentes, com poucos dias de diferença. Todas voltadas para o post-rock, shoegazer e experimentalismo. O noise é o caminho.

Está na hora de fechar o ano. A primeira parte está aqui - dezessete faixas de dezessete bandas brasileiras de post-rock, shoegazer, post-metal, IDM, experimental. Bandas que fizeram a diferença para o selo, seja por gravar trabalhos de altíssima qualidade, seja por crescer junto com a Sinewave gerando tráfego para o site. O meme é o caminho.

A segunda parte entra logo mais - uma série de mixtapes de melhores do ano gringos. Stay tuned.

2010 vai ter mais.

Lingering Last Drops is the latest project from the shadowy Brazilian multiinstrumentalist C.F.C.P. This 8 song disc is a striking overview of his distinctly different take on ambient/electronic music… Crunchy guitars, shimmering keyboards, confessional lyrics and pure sound combine to provide the listener with soundscapes that are by turns lush and stark, celestial and harrowing. This is deeply personal music, assembled from the artist’s work over the last few years, that allows for a wider world view than one might expect: “Give Me Your Confidence” is a cover of a ballad by Iraqi folksinger Ghassan al Mosuli.

Unconventional, unexpected and richly satisfying, this is – in the artist’s words - “music as prayer”.
