
Started in 2005 by Luiz Freitas (drums) and Felipe Melo (keyboards), the band had your lineup completed when Felipe Nardi (guitar), Caio Miranda (bass) and Moisés Monteiro (guitar, vocal) joined. In 2006 played their first gigs in Indaiatuba (SP), their hometown, and soon after, in 2007, recorded their first album, Violent Skies of May. After some gigs in São Paulo and Campinas, were invited to play in Groselha Fuzz 2007, in Ribeirão Preto (SP), one of the major festivals of the state. In the end of this year they’ve returned to studio to record their second album, A Metropolitan Passionate Idealist, released in july of 2008. Also in july Gray Strawberries were one of the six brazilian bands that featured this edition of Amelia’s Magazine, plus entering a compilation from the magazine with an exclusive version of their song “Frozen”.
After the release of the new album, the band changed its formation. André “Anti” Luiz and Lucas Lippaus, also from Indaiatuba, replaced all the other members that not Luiz and Melo.
