Entre outros sentidos, “throe” é uma dor enorme e, de tão intensa, não dá para significar somente como dor. É algo insuportável e que precisa ser expurgado. Por conta disso, sonoramente, throe, projeto solo do Vinicius Castro (Huey), é de fato uma manifestação daquilo que se sente com intensidade arrebatadora: tristeza, raiva, paixão, irritação, aridez, melancolia, dor.

“death feels like an embrace that’s not allowed”, seu primeiro single, é sobre o espaço entre o abraço possível e o impedimento do mesmo. Uma dor sem voz ou solução que ressoa aqui em repetições incômodas, ressonâncias, ruídos e um arrastar de tempo e espaço.

Among other meanings, “throe” means a huge pain, so intense that words are not enough to describe it. It’s unbearable, thus needs to be purged. That’s why throe, solo project by Vinicius Castro (Huey), is an expression of those things you feel with overwhelming intensity: sadness, passion, irritation, melancholy, anger and pain.

“death feels like an embrace that’s not allowed”, his first single, is about the space between the possible embrace and the impediment to it. That’s a pain that has no voice or solution; here, it resounds in uncomfortable repetitions, resonances, noises and dragged time and spaces.
